Some term life plans offer coverage for a duration (term) of 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 years.
If you are alive when your term policy ends, there is no payout of benefits, and your life insurance coverage stops.
However, you may be able to renew your term life policy for another term, usually of 5 or 10 years, if you want your life insurance to continue.
Or, you could apply for a new life insurance policy if you need coverage when your term policy has ended.
