If they're sick now, the only life insurance they could get, would be a guaranteed issue policy, like Globe Life Insurance and Mutual of Omaha sell.
However, you have to pay into it - and live - at least two years after the policy starts, before they'll pay out on a death claim. This is called graded death benefit life insurance coverage and is usually one of the only options available for sick people.
So, it's worth a shot . . . but if they don't live at least two years, it's not going to help you out.
