The only thing life insurance does not usually cover is suicide during the first two years that the life insurance policy is "In Effect". However, the suicide exclusion is only one year in some states like Colorado for instance.
Some life insurance policies may exclude death caused while committing a felony, acts of war, or other similar, unusual circumstances. But those types of exclusions have become less common to find in life insurance.
Rather than paying an extra premium to insure some high risk activities, such as, mountain climbing or skydiving, some people will choose to have an exclusion placed on their life insurance policy for that high risk activity.
However, unless it is excluded specifically in your life insurance contract, your life insurance policy covers death resulting from any reason except suicide in the first two years.
