At the event of a death, are you required to use a life insurance policy for the funeral?
My mom left me a life insurance policy just for me and my 2 brothers and sister want me to use this money to pay for the funeral so that they get more money when the estate sells.
I am the only beneficiary on this one policy and my mother told me she wanted me to have it. She did not list it in her will for me to use it for her burial. Is it fair that I pay for the whole funeral?
