That depends on the type of life insurance you own.
There are two basic types of life insurance - Term and Whole Life.
Term life insurance ends when your life insurance policy expires at the end of your policy term. So, if you have a 10 year term policy, your life insurance ends when the ten years is up.
Whereas, permanent life insurance lasts for your entire lifetime, as long as you live.
Keep in mind, if you stop paying your insurance premiums, either type of policy would lapse, and then the coverage would end if you did not pay your premiums due.
